Alukap-XR Standard Bar & Ridge Gasket 1m

ALUKAP-XR standard bar and ridge gaskets provide cushioning for glazing along the rafter in 1m lengths. Manufactured from rubber, they’re pre-lubricated to help with any unnecessary friction, expansion or contraction.

ALUKAP-XR is a weather-resistant glazing bar system from Clear Amber that sits atop rafters for a clean, attractive finish. The sturdy and durable system comes in a range of profiles and finishes, in both white and brown so you can match the rest of your building or surroundings with ease. Compatible with timber rafters, the fixings for ALUKAP-XR are concealed and made from aluminium like the rest of the system so you’re assured quality and neat installation. Decorative finishing castings are also available so you can bring even more style to your system.

The ALUKAP-XR Gaskets are pre-lubricated with a special lubricant that is safe for use with coated glass units. Gasket lubrication helps assist natural expansion and contraction and reduces any unnecessary friction build up. The Rafter Gasket with Slot Fit is designed as an on-site time saver, where a centre groove has been routed in to the rafters. The slot fit then means that the Rafter Gasket can be quickly installed with perfect alignment before the glazing sheet is positioned on to the roof.
