FIX-R Roofing Felt Adhesive is a cold, brush applied, black, oxidised bitumen based adhesive used to bond successive layers of roofing membranes or roofing membranes to concrete, asphalt, metal, plywood, OSB 3 and similar surfaces. FIX-R Roofing Felt Adhesive is also used for sealing laps on bituminous membranes. As a gritting adhesive, it bonds roof chippings to roofing membranes and mastic asphalt.
Notes: FIX-R Roofing Felt Adhesive contains a solvent, which can attack certain insulations (i.e. expanded polystyrene). Being solvent based, FIX-R Roofing Felt Adhesive is suitable for use throughout the year, although its use should be avoided if rain is expected shortly after application. Drying times may be extended in low temperatures. Application is limited to a maximum slope of 15%.
